Me in Honduras, January 2nd 2010 (Full Pigeon pose)I have practiced yoga for over a year and teach a beginner class in a beautiful studio in Southern California. I am 25 years old, and work a full time job as an office manager. I have been married for 3 1/2 years and my husband is a full time student.
I fell in love with yoga during my first class and knew immediately that it was something I wanted to practice for the rest of my life. With a lot of encouragement from some instructors and my husband, I decided to get certified to teach.
For a while I managed to teach three classes a week while working full time and was even able to sneak a few classes in for myself. Unfortunately though the last year my practice has slowly dwindled away, as well as any healthy eating habits. I now teach once a week so I have more time to practice.
I would like to start teaching a more challenging class soon, however I don't feel that my practice is where it should be to do so. Thus leads to the reason for this blog...
My goals for this year are;
1) Take a class every weekday at 6am
2) Change my eating habits
3) Chronicle the changes in my body, mind and soul throughout my journey
